Why does my windows vista firewall keep turning off

This is normal. Don't panic. Perhaps there has been some notification, but I wan't around to see it. I have now turned on 'Include detailed firewall logging in the support log' but I either did not find or recognize any information that would help answer this question for myself. I've been using WLOC since July , it's good software and it detects viruses, worms and torjans easily. The firewall also is very good and it's working so smoothly. You can have both your Vista turned on.

Regarding your Windows OneCare turned off, if you fail to keep it on, try the following:. Sorry, I am not quite clear on your answer too brief. I am trying to figure out if there is something wrong in my system or if everything is functioning as it should.

NOT impressed by MS response to this issue This thread looks to be a year running feb 07 to feb 08 and right or wrong the customer is wondering what is going on!! Just think what other software vendors have to go through! By the way my daughter's computer is a Vista Desktop and less than a year old. I purchased OneCare at the same time as the computer meaning I have never installed any other internet security package on this computer.

This is only a theoretical idea, as I haven't had the chance to try it. Anyone have a solution to this nonsense? It seemed to have happened right after I updated the system, nice update MS!
