Drag to disc download
Long live "Drag-To-Disc". But Vista does have built-in Packet Writing. I wonder if it also has the same Session writing capabilities as XP? I loved D2D as well until I lost some data that was worth several hundred hours of work to me. I cant even put a monetary figure on it. You better make sure you have backup copies of all that data. For weeks now I've been trying to install Creator Ultimate and one of the solutions I tried - but which didn't work - was to do a "clean" install which involved removing all traces of previous versions from my pc.
I now wish to re-install Drag to Disc but no longer have my origianl Creator 9 installation disc and the folk at Roxio tell me I cannot re-download it.
To quote a fellow guru gi7omy "I'd recommend against using the drag and drop D2D packet writing - its reliability to me is on a par with an igloo in the Sahara". I don't want to get into an argument with the ptarmigan, so I've sent you a private message.

It's easy! Already have an account? I've already found the boxed version on the internet but am too cheep to buy it if I don't have to. You are talking about ancient history so not many people can give you a definitive answer.
We are not Roxio so we don't have that information available. If you found an updated version on the web real cheap then contact the seller for that information or see if the seller will take the product back if it does not have the features you wanted. Please post a link to that seller; it would be interesting to see what version he is actually selling. BTW, you can Google for packet writing software and you will find lots. If you are looking for it to get a program that will "fix" damaged discs, you can Google for that also.
If you have some discs that were made with D2D, look at ISO buster to see if it will get back some of those files. BTW, don't hijack someone else thread and stick to one thread.
You have at least two going now. Uninstall Easy Media Creator. Go to Program Files and delete the still existing Roxio folder. Go to Start, Run, and type in regedit. At top Menu, choose Edit, Find Enter Roxio.
Delete each highlighted entry with Roxio, by using Find Next. Once the registry is completely cleaned of Roxio entries, restart computer.
Install Easy Media Creator. I made sure to use the original install disc, not a burned image disc.
