Remove symantec antivirus fatal error during installation
Thank you for your suggestion. I have contacted Dell for the backup CD. I don't have any experience with Trend Micro program, but I have access to other virus protection that I prefer to use. Trend Micro interferes with my ability to install it. Just checking. Yes, that's why I'm trying to uninstall Trend Micro. Hopefully re-installing the prgm, and then deleting will solve the problem. I was able to fix this without having to do a fresh install by updating the Windows 10 installation with Windows This kept all my applications and settings but reinstalled the OS components without any issue - and windows update works fine now.
